Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 3 years of related experience, or in the alternative, Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 1 years of related experience. Must have Engineer in Training EIT certification or successful completion of NCEES exam. Must be willing to travel to client sites up to 10 of the time. Must have experience in the following Working knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electrical Code NEC, NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, NFPA 820 Standard for Fire Protection in Wastewater Treatment and Collection Facilities and IEEE1584 standard Guide to Performing Arc Flash Hazard Calculations. Performing short circuit analysis, protective device coordination and arc flash hazard analysis on water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, or pumping stations with SKM or ETAP analysis software. Develop preplanning safety checklist for arc flash field data collection, identifying hazards and mitigation strategies such as lockouttagout LOTO or personal protection equipment PPE. Performing field data collection of protective device settings of electrical equipment following strictly developed safety guidelines for modeling SKM, ETAP and power studies Arc Flash, Short Circuit and Protective Device Coordination. Performing sizing calculations for various electrical equipment including distribution transformers, power lighting panels, feeder conductors, conduits, disconnects, circuit breakers, fuses, motor starters, variable frequency drives VFD, motor control centers MCC, switchboards and switchgear. Developing electrical control schematics for major water and wastewater process and pumping equipment by coordinating with PID drawings, specifications and control descriptions. Designing pumping systems with Low and Medium Voltage VFD controllers. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
