Requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering Science, Engineering Physics or a related field.br br Requires PhDlevel research focused on thin film manufacturing and characterization. Must have experience or academic training or experience with the following techniques, methodologies, and skills Thin film manufacturing Physical vapor deposition PVD, resistive heating thermal evaporation, sputtering, ebeam evaporation, ebeam lithography, chemical vapor deposition CVD, PECVD, and surface treatment methodologies such as wet etching and plasma etching, engineered thin films; Microscopy techniques Scanning electron microscopy SEM, optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy TEM, Focused Ion Beam FIBSEM, Interferometry, Atomic Force Microscopy AFM, UVVISNIR spectroscopy, scanned image microscopy principles, image interpretation and quantitative data acquisition techniques; Materials characterization Crystallography, lasermaterial interactions, characterization techniques for nanotechnology applications, profilometry, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, XRD, microstructure analysis and nanoindentation; Data Analysis Software Mathematica or Matlab, Minitab. Must have handson manufacturing experience designing testing systems to characterize thin films as well as DOE design of experiment and data collection.
